Ben Cathers is the co-founder of InstantSocial - a social media software and consulting firm whose mission is to help companies, influential individuals, and organizations of all sizes and technical experience engage in social media. InstantSocial's featured product is the InstantSocial Platform - a robust, cost effective solution for social media managers at small to large organizations. InstantSocial also offers consulting services aimed at helping to solve the "social media question" for companies. Ben is responsible for all aspects of business development, product design, consulting services and client relations. Ben has been with InstantSocial since day 1 and has been the lead creative voice in development of the InstantSocial platform. Ben also speaks across the country on social media, entrepreneurship and Gen Y issues. Previously, Ben was the co-founder of three startups before he was 19 years old. Ben co-founded one of the first youth oriented online advertising networks, a syndicated radio show and a search engine software company. In 2000, Ben's first company was named as one of the "Top 12 companies in Silicon Alley to look out for" by the Silicon Alley Reporter and in 2005 CNN and the Lou Dobbs show named Ben as a member of "America's Bright Future". Ben has been featured/quoted in the WSJ, ABC News, Fox News, Entrepreneur Magazine, The Boston Globe and other major media outlets. Ben lives in the Upper East Side of New York and is captain of the two-time central park softball championship team, the Weekend Swingers (weekendswingersnyc.com). Ben actively trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and competes in submission fighting tournaments across the east coast. Ben holds a B.S in business administration, with a concentration in entrpereneurship, from Boston University's School of Management and in 2007 he received the "Peter R Russo for Entrepreneurship"
