Author Jake Kloberdanz

Jake Kloberdanz is a Bay Area native who grew up Fremont and now resides in Manhattan Beach living close to many of his best college buddies from U.C. Berkeley. While in college Jake played Football and Rugby for the Cal Bears, and was an extremely active member in the alpha beta chapter of Sigma Chi. Jake took a job in wine sales with the leading company in the industry while also founding a technology company with 4 of his best friends from college named "The Scene" (www.thescene.com). Jake has an older and younger sister that he loves more than anything in the world. His parents, Jane and Frank, have been married for over 30 years and have been his role models in teaching him the value of commitment, integrity, discipline, and hard work. Jake’s mother is Israeli and Russian Jew and his Dad is German Catholic and Native American. His parents met while both serving on a nuclear weapons base in Germany for the U.S. Army. His greatest passion in life is serving as the Chief Executive Officer of ONEHOPE, a life style brand whose mission is to donate 50% of profits for each product in their portfolio. The Cornerstone product of the ONEHOPE brand is wine. Currently ONEHOPE wine consists of five award winning varietals that go towards five worthy causes. The goal of the ONEHOPE brand is about raising awareness just as much as its about raising money. Jake came up with the concept for ONEHOPE in October of 2005, only 3 months after graduating from college. He launched the company 6 months later after visiting one of his best friends from high school after she just got news that she had blood cancer. ONEHOPE has been expanding nationwide at a rapid pace. Jake is joined by 7 other founders between the ages of 25 and 30 who share an equal passion for the vision of serving others. The ONEHOPE company has grown along with the ONEHOPE Foundation. With partners like Michael and Rob Mondavi, American Airlines, and Southern Wine & Spirits they have grown their wine brand to over 30,000 cases in just their 3rd year. And with board members such as Michael Mondavi, Pamela Buffett, and Aaron Rodgers, there Foundation presence has started to quickly catch up to their presence in the wine industry. Jake is a firm believer that leadership is making those around you better and more productive. He expects every team member of his to be a leader in some area of the ONEHOPE brand.
