Author Jeff Avallon

Jeff Avallon is a Co-Founder of IdeaPaint, the producer of the innovative, dry-erase paint product that can transform any “paintable” surface into a high performance dry-erase writing surface. Jeff joined IdeaPaint early in product development and was influential in raising initial angel and institutional financing. Jeff was also responsible for the planning and execution of the launch of IdeaPaint’s first- generation product IdeaPaint PRO and determining the company’s overall channel strategy. Currently, Jeff focuses on managing IdeaPaint’s new business development, focusing on establishing large strategic partnerships to take IdeaPaint to the mass market. In 2009, Jeff was integral to the launch of IdeaPaint’s water-based, dry-erase product IdeaPaint CRE-8, which introduced color to the whiteboard solution market for the first time. Also in 2009, BusinessWeek named IdeaPaint one of “America’s Most Promising Start-Ups” and Jeff one of “America’s Best Young Entrepreneurs.” Jeff was also honored by Inc. as one of “America’s Coolest Young Entrepreneurs” with a spot on the magazine’s annual “30 Under 30” round-up. A lifelong entrepreneur, Jeff previously co-founded Today’s Catch Catering, Waterdog Real Estate Development and StrongSide Sports. He also co-founded and still maintains an interest in WaterDog Lobster Company, a commercial company that harvests up to 500 lobsters per catch and distributes them into the seafood wholesale market. Jeff holds a B.S. in finance and entrepreneurship from Babson College.
