Sarah Schupp is the CEO and founder of University Parent Media (UPM). UPM is the #1 college resource guide for millions of parents at over 200 institutions around the nation and is expanding rapidly. Schupp has been named one of BusinessWeek's top 25 Entrepreneurs under 25, one of 10 finalists for the 2010 Alister & Paine Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and one of the Denver Business Journal's 40 Women Under 40. She is frequently a guest lecturer in entrepreneurship classes at various colleges, including the University of Colorado, Colorado State University, and Michigan Technological University and her story has been featured in several entrepreneurship textbooks, including "Entrepreneurship: Successfully Launching New Ventures" and "What's Stopping You?: Shatter the 9 Most Common Myths Keeping You from Starting Your Own Business." Schupp founded UPM because of her experience at the University of Colorado (B.A. Business Administration and an emphasis on Entrepreneurship and Leadership). At CU, Schupp served as the Senior Class President and won the Undergraduate Business Plan Competition. She was also a member of the nationally recognized leadership development program, the President's Leadership Class. Only 10 out-of-state students were accepted to the program out of a class of 5,000. She resides in Boulder, Colorado with her husband, Josh, and two dogs, Ivan & Stella. She enjoys hiking, rafting, fly fishing, skiing, and playing as much tennis as possible.
